Blazer trio places in top 10 at cross country meet

BURNS – A trio of Torrington High School runners placed in the top 10 at the annual Burns-Pine Bluffs Cross Country Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Aydan Loya and Kyland Fuller raced to seventh and eighth-place finishes, respectively.

Loya completed the course in 19 minutes 1.77 seconds, while Fuller was 21 seconds behind his teammate.

Weston Cronk finished 15th in 20:35.8, while Timothy Randolph placed 20th in 21:42.54.

In the girls’ division, Ada Merrigan was once again the lone Lady Blazer to compete, finishing third in 22:50.98.

Burns-Pine Bluffs runners Emma Gonzalez and Layne Burnett claimed the top two spots in the race.

The Blazer season continues Friday, Sept. 11 at the Kimball (Neb.) Invite.
