RAWLINS – The Torrington High School girls’ golf team continued its winning ways Thursday and Friday with a 55-stroke win over Laramie.
The Lady Blazers fired a 556 to win the final regular season tournament of the fall, while Laramie shot a 611. Natrona County finished third with 662.
Individually, three Torrington girls finished in the top 10 with Caleigh Essert leading the charge with a 9-over 153 for the tournament.
Laura Halley finished tied for sixth with a 201, while Kaylee Wilson was one stroke back with a 202 to place tied for eighth.
Jade Reinhardt finished 15th with a 222, while Jenna Kaufman was 19th with 233.
On the boys’ side, Jordan Malm picked up his first high school tournament win with a two-day total of 155. He finished three strokes ahead of Alec Pexton of Kelly Walsh High School.
Thomas Herron came home 12th with a 184, while Bodie Herring was 18th with a 190. Ryder Hackbarth finished 24th with a 202. Malachi Braddy was 32nd with a 217.
As a team, the Blazers was third with a 731. Kelly Walsh won the team title with 669, while Jackson was second with 714.
Torrington returns to Worland for the 3A East Conference Tournament Friday and Saturday.
