TORRINGTON – Eastern Wyoming College women’s basketball player Pamela Bethel recently received recognition.
Pamela Bethel, sophomore, Nassau, Bahamas, was named NJCAA Division I all-American honorable mention. She was also named to the all-Region IX South team, Region IX all-tournament team.
Bethel was 1st in the NJCAA stats for top rebounder in the nation with an average of 14.6 rebounds per game and a total of 467 rebounds for the season. She averaged 16.9 points per game, shot 50.6% from the field with 41% shooting for 3 point shots and 71% shooting from the free throw line.
“Pamela had a great year and I am very proud of what she accomplished this year. She is well deserving of this award,” said Coach Tom Andersen.
