FORT LARAMIE – Funeral services for Bernice Lucille “Lucy” Urbach, 90, will be 10 a.m. May 29, 2019, at the Fort Laramie Country Church with Pastor Marty Rostad officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Laramie Cemetery.
Lucy died May 23, 2019, at Goshen Healthcare Community. Memorials may be made to the Torrington Senior Friendship Center. The casket will be closed.

Lucy was born April 2, 1929, in Fort Laramie, the daughter of Albert Lloyd “Jack” and Irene Rosella (Milnes) Oliver. She grew up and attended school in Lingle. She married Louie Henry Urbach on Oct. 15, 1946, in Bridgeport, Neb. They lived in Scottsbluff, Neb., for the first six years of their marriage, where Louie worked as a carpenter and Lucy worked at a café.
In 1952 they moved to Denver, where Louie worked as a Union carpenter and Lucy worked as and Optometric Assistant for the next 28 years, retiring in 1985. They moved to Fort Laramie in 1990 and moved to Torrington in 1998.
Over the course of their marriage they traveled extensively, visiting many places in South America and many places in the United States in their motor home. Lucy enjoyed traveling, golf, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Congregational Church.
Lucy is survived by her brothers Wayne Oliver and Rudy Oliver; sisters Darlene Anderson, Myrna Lucas, Joan Hohnholt, Judy Elmore and Joyce Santillanes; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louie; brothers Jack “Bud” Oliver, Steve Oliver, Charles Oliver; and sisters Betty Blankenbaker, Donna Eisenbarth and Janet Fisk.
