TORRINGTON – Barbara Mae Patton, 78, of Torrington passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at Granite Rehabilitation in Cheyenne.
She was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Saguache, Colo. Barbara grew up in Trenton, Neb., and had lived in Torrington since 2003.
She was an educational mentor, a member of All Saints Episcopalian Church in Torrington, was very involved with the Foster Grandparent program and TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly). Barbara was well loved and loved her community.
Barbara is survived by her children, Alice Baxley (David Hamby) of Jackson, Miss., Jeannette Taper (Jerry), Valerie Fulton, Christeana DeBlasis (Todd), Mary Patton (Don Reid) all of Cheyenne and Guy Wolgamott (Courtney) of Denver, Colo.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Lafferty and a brother, Wayne Lafferty.
A Memorial Service for Barbara will be10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at All Saints Episcopalian Church in Torrington with the Rev. Brian Gross officiating.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
