TORRINGTON – Goshen Community Theatre is calling on all local thespians to audition for Joseph Robinette’s rendition of E.B. White’s book “Charlotte’s Web.”

A flyer published by Goshen Community Theatre states both adults and youth are needed for performances Oct. 27-30 and Nov. 4-6. Auditions for the production will take place Aug. 30-31 beginning each night at 6:30 p.m. in the Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Auditorium.

Erin Jespersen, president of Goshen Community Theatre spoke at the EWC Board of Trustees meeting Aug. 9 about the show.

“We’re back from a two-year hiatus due to COVID,” Jespersen said. “We are putting on a show this fall, it’s going to be ‘Charlotte’s Web.’”

Jespersen said the theatre is seeking both youths and adults to fill the roles of the play. Additionally, they seek to include students from local schools and EWC.

“We’re hoping to get community support back,” Jespersen said. “Goshen Community Theatre is EWC’s answer to theatre, as there is no theatre program. We are trying to provide that for EWC students.”

The Goshen Community Theatre is celebrating 20 years of community theatre

this year.

“We’re here and we are really back,” Jespersen proclaimed. “We want to bring the cultural arts aspect to Goshen County.”
