Fourth-grade students from Trail Elementary School in Torrington helped plant three Austrian Pines at Jirdon Park near the softball diamond on Tuesday in celebration of Arbor Day. The two outside trees line up with the foul lines on the diamond and the third is just past the centerfield fence.
