Antonio Dominguez Quillares

TORRINGTON – Mass of Christian Burial for Antonio Dominguez Quillares, 101, will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Saint Rose Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Antonio died April 24, 2021 at Goshen Healthcare Community. Memorials may be made to the family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at the church at 6 p.m. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com   

Antonio was born June 11, 1919 in Silao, Mexico to Sostenes and Luz (Quillares) Dominguez. He came to the United States and lived in Texas before moving to Torrington. He worked at Holly Sugar, at Scotty’s and was a member of Local 1271 union for twenty years. He retired at 62. Antonio enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brother Esteban Dominguez. He was a member of the Guadalupe Society. 

Survivors include his children, Maria Antonieta, Fransisca, Servando, Jose, Maria Elena and Isabel; a sister Luisa DeLeon; and twenty-six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives Esperonza Bejar and Juana Dominguez; and children Juan, Ramon and Juana.
